Time to get honest here. For a lot of people waking up early isn’t on their list of priorities. It’s a hard thing to do and when you don’t wake up with the sun it gets even harder. Regardless of how hard it is to get up early in the morning, the benefits can be endless. It really is a good thing to wake up early and get a head start on your day, even if it may not feel like it at first.
According to Early Bird, one of the reasons we feel so tired when there’s no sun is because our bodies are designed to produce the sleep-inducing hormone melatonin after dark. When the sun comes out then our bodies suppress that production which causes us to feel more awake. It’s scientifically proven that we are supposed to feel more sluggish at night and more awake I the morning.

Early risers usually have more positive and motivating thoughts throughout their day, which helps their mental health a lot. A lot of the time if you wake up earlier you want to get as much sleep as possible so you wont be tired. This allows you to get your recommended 7-9 hours of sleep daily. With that being said you are giving your mind and body enough time to recuperate for the day ahead of you.
