Vitamin C Benefits For Skin – #1 Source for your immune system
Vitamin C Benefits For Skin You’ve probably heard of Vitamin C and how it helps keep your immune system strong. Have you ever heard of how good it can be on your skin? It’s one of the most important parts of skincare that people tend to skip. Let’s dive in deeper and figure out exactly what it can do for our skin. What is Vitamin C when it comes to your skin? It’s a potent antioxidant that can neutralize free radicals according to Allure. Adding it to the skin when it’s going through its regeneration process can help repair damaged skin cells. It’s like how we ingest it to fight off any diseases in our body, putting it on our skin can help in protecting it. We all know that environmental toxins play a big part in how our skin can look. They can be very damaging so we feel like we constantly have to find a way to protect it. Because they are usually all around us, this can get difficult. UV exposure puts us at risk for skin cancer. Vitamin C is found to protect the skin from these changes. It’s very helpful to those that are usually always in the sun. What makes this vitamin so great is how it’s not limited to just one benefit. Because it is highly acidic, when used on the skin, it triggers the skin to heal itself by accelerating the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are protein fibers that our skin naturally makes. They help keep the skin plump and firm. Because of this, adding it helps in the production of collagen. This will also help in preventing premature aging of the skin. Now, what should you be looking for when you’re going out to buy Vitamin C? There are many different kinds that you can get. Because of this, while you’re searching the aisles the term you need to look for is ascorbic acid. This is going to be the most stable and effective form of Vitamin C for your skin. Another thing you should look for is a serum. They are proven to be more effective than creams and toners. This will help your skin reach optimal health. At The IV Lounge, we offer Vitamin C injections that can help your skin look and feel better than ever. This product is one of our IV Cocktails called the Inner Beauty Cocktail. It includes Vitamin C that helps in keeping your skin revived while erasing the effects of aging. Make sure to call us at The IV Lounge to schedule an appointment today and learn more! Oral Medication VS. Intravenous Therapy
Oral medication VS. Intravenous Therapy The discussion about whether intravenous therapy is better than pill medication has been going on for some time now. When you go to a pharmacy for a prescribed medication, you will usually be getting some pills. On rare occasions, you have the option to choose intravenous therapy. This all depends on your condition and the severity of it. When you take oral medication, everything down to the color is important. The entire design helps protect it until it gets to your stomach and dissolves. There are even ingredients in the pill that control how long until the active ingredient is actually freed into your body. Intravenous therapy is delivered directly into the bloodstream which can help you feel the effects right away according to Shine Health Wellness. Because it’s something that goes straight into your veins, more of the medicine is available for you. When you take oral medication, only some of the medication reaches your circulatory system. Whichever path you decide to take often depends on the type of person you are. In other cases, it also depends on what the doctor recommends. What may work for you, may not work for someone else. Even if you would rather intravenous methods, you might see that oral medication makes you feel better and vice versa. When it comes to serious medical conditions the debate will always be up for grabs. It is said that vitamin cocktail injections might just be the most effective way to receive the nutrients that your body needs. If you wake up one day and you just feel sluggish or like the weight of the world is suddenly on your shoulders, there are many vitamin injections tailored for that. They administer the key nutrients that you need to put that pep back in your step. When administering these nutrients into the bloodstream, you are going to immediately feel relief. Not only that but you’ll also experience the renewed energy you need. Some people even say they felt: Improved hydration A reduction in headaches Improved symptoms of depression A reduction in stress levels Now that you know some of the reasons others may choose oral medication or intravenous medication, maybe it’ll help you understand what you may want in the future. At the IV Lounge we offer many different types of IV Vitamin Cocktails that you won’t regret taking. From Super B12 shots all the way to our Jet Lag Cocktail, a bad day won’t feel so bad anymore. Call us today to set up an appointment or a free consultation with one of our certified physicians. Bibliography “IV Therapy VS. How Many Vitamins Are Too Many?
How Many Vitamins are Too Many? The first question that should be asked is, “Is it even possible to take too many vitamins?” The answer is yes. In a perfect world we could get all the vitamins and minerals that we need from our diet but sadly it’s not the case. There are instances where we have to take supplements so that our body continues to function the way that we want it to. It’s always said that vitamins we take in pill form can help make up for some of the deficiencies in our diet. Scientists have said that people who eat lots of vitamin and mineral rich foods tend to live longer lives but that doesn’t always apply to pills. With anything you consume, it should be done in moderation. There are always recommended amounts that you should take for every vitamin you consume. Taking more than that can have the possibility of hurting you more than helping you. WebMd recommends for you to read the label so that you are well informed. If you think about it, you can’t get toxic doses of nutrients from your food but you definitely can through supplements. As much as we don’t want to think that it happens, we have to be careful with everything that we put in our bodies at the end of the day. A great tip that we can give you is to always run things by your doctor! They’re there to help you so it’s good to ask them if the amount of supplements you are taking is doing more harm than good. They can also help you with understanding the amount you should take. This especially goes for the people that have underlying conditions. That makes it crucial for you to be well informed about taking supplements. This is one of the reasons IV therapy is becoming so popular. It’s a great way to get the right amount of vitamins and minerals that your body regularly needs. Acquiring vitamins intravenously has been proven very effective in the well being of people because of many reasons. One is the fact that it works a lot quicker than if you were to take supplements. Two, because it is made to tend to everyone’s needs. Here at The IV Lounge, there is a different IV Cocktail or IM shot for different reasons. You can try our Master Cocktail that contains many minerals like calcium or you can try our Vitamin D Shot and get your required dose of the sunshine vitamin. If all this sounds great to you then make sure to stop by the IV Lounge where our nurses and physicians will answer any question you may have. #1 way to get rid of the Hangover Blues
Hangover Blues It’s the morning after a night out with your friends and you’re starting to feel the lingering effects of all the alcohol. As soon as the sunlight hits your eyes you immediately know what’s going on. You have a hangover. While alcohol is the number one culprit behind this. What a lot of people may not know is that there can also be many other facts MIXED with alcohol that makes you feel so unpleasant. A hangover is basically just a name that we put to some unpleasant signs of going a bit overboard with the drinking. A lot of the time it depends on how your body works. There are people that can drink just one glass and will feel heavy effects. There are others who can drink all night long and completely avoid it the next day. This is why there are so many factors to a hangover than just the alcohol you consume. While alcohol may be a trigger for a plethora of things to happen, watch out for some of these causes: The alcohol in your body will cause you to produce more urine, in turn leading to dehydration. Alcohol can cause your blood sugar to fall. This is when fatigue will set in along with mood disturbances. This is a big one because it seems to be a big factor in hangovers. According to Mayo Clinic, alcohol will cause your blood vessels to expand which leads to headaches. While this one is a contradiction in itself, it is so true. Alcohol makes you sleepy but causes sleep disturbances. You’ll see that it’s harder to have a full night’s rest after a night of drinking. Now, this is what you’ve probably been waiting for. How do you prevent said hangovers from occurring? This isn’t a fool safe plan but it can help alleviate some of the symptoms. This way, it won’t feel like the world is against you in the morning. Before going out make sure that you eat! We all know that drinking on an empty stomach, more often than not, will not help you. Another trick is to eat while drinking. This will help absorb some of the alcohol in your stomach. Sipping some water in between drinks will keep you more hydrated and won’t let the alcohol dry you up like a raisin. Knowing your limit is a very important point. While it may be fun to go rouge every once in a while, knowing how your body reacts to the alcohol is a very important tip to avoiding bad hangovers. One more tip that you may not know about is an intravenous hangover cure. This is where fluids are injected into your bloodstream to counteract the effects of a hangover. They will help make you feel like a new person. At the IV Lounge we have an After Party Cocktail that will completely erase the effects of being over served. It has a blend of vitamins and antioxidants that are put together for that reason specifically. Make sure to visit us so that we can make sure the effects of last night don’t linger all day. Is A Slim Shot Enough?
Is A Slim Shot Enough? With summer quickly approaching, it seems like everyone is on the lookout for the best way to get their summer body. For some it may be harder than others. This is why they might look into the quickest and most effective ways to go about their weight loss journey. A lot of people will go for a slim shot injection. That is when the question comes up, “ Do they really work?” and if it’s the only weight loss product they should try. One of the most popular types of weight loss injections, according to Healthline, is the Lipotropic injection. The name seems a lot scarier than it actually is, I promise. This injection is a solution that contains nutrients that allow your body to go into “fat burning” mode. This type of injection has compounds like: Choline- this nutrient is needed for proper liver function. It also makes sure that fat is burned for energy and fuel. Vitamin B12- it’s one of the most essential vitamins for fat loss and metabolism. Methionine- an essential amino acid that defends the body from toxic compounds. Inositol- it’s related to the Vitamin B family and is involved in the process of breaking down fats. These are great ways to kick start your weight loss journey because they also come with other kinds of benefits. When the ingredients activate fat loss, there are specific hormones that are released. This will improve a person’s mood. There is also proof that because there are so many great vitamins and minerals in that solution, it may improve heart health. Some people use this shot as their only weight loss solution. This is a mistake. This type of injection is supposed to HELP someone in their weight loss process. It shouldn’t be the only tool you’re using to make sure you shed the pounds. If that’s the case then it may not work. The best way to shed the pounds is to live a healthy lifestyle with moderate exercise and a balanced diet. The shot is just a great way to help those that may have a harder time losing the weight or if you need to lose it in a specific amount of time. They are used to aid you in this journey, not be the main reason you’re losing weight. At The IV Lounge we offer a type of shot that will be able to do just that. Our Skinny Shot is a great way to promote weight loss and detoxification. It even includes some of the compounds we mentioned above. A combination of all those is a great summer remedy to getting the body of your dreams. It can even help you develop a healthier lifestyle. To hear more about this shot call us today and our nurses and physicians will answer any questions you may have. 3 stages To Growing Healthier Hair
How to Grow Healthier Hair For most of your life you’ve had the hair on your head. You’ve probably never stopped to think about it but hair is actually a lot more complex than we give it credit. It plays a huge part in identification and even helps transmit sensory information. Did you know that by week 22 of life, a fetus has all of its hair follicles formed? At this point there are about 5 million follicles on the body and a total of one million on the head. It seems so crazy to think about but it’s actually the most amount of hair follicles that a human will ever have. That is because we do not generate any new ones throughout the course of our lives. While everyone is different, the hair on our scalp grows about 6 inches per year. Throughout its growth, it goes through three stages according to NCBI: Anagen – This is called the active phase of the hair. It’s when a new hair is formed and pushes hair that has stopped growing out of the scalp. Catagen – This is the transitional phase of the hair. It is when the hairs on the scalp turn into club hair. This just means hair that has stopped growing. It lasts for about two to three weeks. Telogen – This is the resting phase of the hair. It lasts for about 100 days. It just means that nothing really happens to the hair. Hair growth is different for everyone but it can be traced back to the testosterone in the body. It’s probably a surprise for some women but everyone produces testosterone to different degrees. The amount of testosterone you produce will usually show in how fast and thick the hair can grow. Our bodies are used to make testosterone and Estrogen. This is a balance in the body due to gender. If you’re a female you’ll have more estrogen, which allows for more hair growth on the scalp but less testosterone. They work together but an imbalance can alter the way your hair grows. There are many factors that can also go into hair growth. Some that you can control and some that you can’t. The speed at which your hair can grow also has to do with your genetics. With that being said, there are different things that you can try that speed up the hair growth process. One of these things is food! There are specific foods that you can eat so that your hair can grow longer and healthier. Some of them are Eggs, Salmon, Berries, Whole Grains, and Avocados. These foods are high in vitamins and minerals, which support healthy hair growth. Another way that you can get longer and healthier hair can be from supplements. There are specific vitamins like Biotin and Omega-3 that are used for this specific reason. We even offer biotin injections for hair growth that you can try out. It is called the Inner Beauty Cocktail. It contains Vitamin C, Biotin, and even Glutathione. These three combined can promote healthy hair and even skin! Come into the IV Lounge to hear more information about what we have to offer and get on the path to growing healthier hair today! What Are Micronutrients?
What Are Micronutrients?- Micronutrients. We’ve all heard about macronutrients and how our bodies require it in larger amounts to make sure that it functions properly. One thing that a lot of people don’t think about is Micronutrients and how much our body actually needs them. This is one of the major groups of nutrients that our body needs. This is manifested in vitamins and minerals, which are a great way to make sure our body is at its peak. The term micronutrients are used to describe the vitamins and minerals we put in our body according to Healthline. Unlike macronutrients that include proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, our body needs smaller amounts of micronutrients to function the right way. Our bodies can naturally produce vitamins and minerals. This is how we acquire micronutrients from the food we eat or the supplements we take. There are many different types of vitamins and minerals in the foods we consume. That is why it’s important for you to eat a variety of foods to get the amount that you need. Because there are so many different types of vitamins and minerals, they are categorized into four different sections: Water Soluble Vitamins- this one is pretty self-explanatory. These are the vitamins that dissolve in water. Because of this, they are not easily stored in the body and get flushed out with our urine. Fat Soluble Vitamins- these vitamins don’t dissolve in water and are best absorbed when consumed alongside a source of fat. Macro minerals- these types of minerals are needed in larger amounts to be able to perform their tasks. Some of them may be calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Trace Minerals- these are needed in smaller portions than macro minerals but are still important for the functioning of your body. Some of them may include iron, zinc, and copper. All different types of micronutrients are very important for our body to function properly. This is no matter the amount that you consume. They can make sure that you slim and trim, just in time for summer. They fight off diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer’s, and even heart disease. Because we need these vitamins and minerals so much, a deficiency can cause serious problems with your health. You will start noticing that your body isn’t functioning the way it once was and it can even require medical help. IV Therapy is a great way to be able to get all the micronutrients that you may need. Make sure that you try some of our IV Cocktails and IM shots. One of them is our Immune Support Cocktail. It includes Zinc that helps reduce symptoms of sickness. They can help make sure your body is at peak health and even add many other benefits.
